There is an Answer to the Pain, Sadness, Worry and Loneliness.
Don‘t Look at the Troubled Waters,
Look to the Horizon!
“A joy shared, is twice the joy.
A sorrow shared, is half the sorrow.”

You’ve Had Enough Of Settling For The Way Things Are.
You’ve decided, “This is it! I’m finally going to confront the obstacles in my life, overcome my fears and become the person I was meant to be.”
It’s a familiar story.
You join a gym, go on a diet, buy a new wardrobe, join a dating site, update your resume, maybe you have even tried counseling before. But . . .
Nothing changes.
The Bad Feelings Remain. Maybe, They Even Get Worse.
Expectations and hopes for big changes have fallen flat. Back to the daily grind of living. Perhaps you just have to accept that this is the way life is for you?
No, You Don’t Have To Keep Feeling This Way. Not Anymore.
Habits are Hard To Break.
Sometimes is feels like it is just easier to stay the same.
After all, you don’t have to take a risk. You don’t have to face failure.
Maybe you think, “why bother trying. Nothing will change anyway.”
Despite years of trying, you are essentially the same person.
Still unable to feel happy and motivated. Worried about everything.
Going home to an empty house and spending another “exciting” weekend in front of the TV with negative self-talk cycling continuously through your mind.
Fearful of things you know you should confront. Or just beating yourself up for no reason.
Why haven’t you reached your full potential?!
You haven’t worked with the right therapist yet!
The philosopher Nietzsche famously said, “[h]e who has a why to live can bear almost any how.”
Happiness, optimism, hope, and meaning are the ingredients for success!
Let me share some alarming facts.
Today, we see a growing sense of unhappiness, boredom, depression, loneliness, and, increasingly, addiction, and suicide – which hit a 30-year high in 2016 and is growing!
According to the World Happiness Report, in 2019 the US dropped to #19 in happiness, the lowest it has ever been!
US citizens feel less happy than ever…
…despite more progress and prosperity.
Several research studies showed a connection between retirement and early death.
Many parents, especially the stay-at-home parent, suffer depression when their children leave home for college or move away to start their own lives.
Having a purpose in life is important.
People who feel that they continue to make a difference in the world, that they still have value, that they are still contributing to society tend to be happier, healthier, and more satisfied.
Developing Optimism and Resiliency is the key.
Why do some people feel that way and others don’t? Optimism, Positivity, Hope and Resilience.
Making real change is an inside job!
The ability to control your thoughts and behaviors is essential and entirely within your own hands!
Learn how to have more realistic and rational beliefs. Understand how dysfunctional and maladaptive behaviors contribute to poor choices and bad results. Explore how finding meaning and purpose in life can lead to greater happiness, joy and optimism!
Remember Nietzsche: When we have a reason to live (a “why”), we can bear any “how.” We all need to believe that we continue to provide value until our last breath.
People who feel that they have no purpose or meaning, despite whatever outward success they seem to possess, are often very depressed and unfulfilled.
Hi, I’m Michael Zone
Therapist, coach, educator, and facilitator of hopes and dreams!
I can help you find meaning and purpose. I can help you develop resilience. I can help you increase happiness and optimism. I can set you on the path to joy and growth.
I want to ask you an important question – What are you willing to do to change, to succeed, to reach your potential?
Successful therapy can appear magical. It can change the course of a person’s life. But only when a person is committed and motivated to making those changes.
Otherwise, therapy will only be the latest in a long line of failures and disappointments.
