What public transportation is nearby?

My office is close to the Q, N and R trains, within walking distance from the 4, 5, and 6 trains. And near the M15 and M86 buses.

Is your office wheelchair accessible?

Unfortunately, it is not wheelchair accessible.

What is your phone number?
What are your office days and hours?

Monday – Friday, 5 pm-9 pm.

How do I set up an initial appointment?

Call to schedule a free 10-minute phone call, followed by a 30-minute in-person consultation.

What is your cancellation policy?

I require a 48-hour notice for cancellation, unless it is an emergency (sickness, weather, etc.)

What is the length of each session?

I offer 45-minute, 60-minute, and 90-minute sessions.

With whom do your work?

I individually counsel or coach men, women, and young adults.

How often is therapy?

Typically, sessions are once a week. However, twice-a-month and twice-a-week options are available as well.

What happens in a session?

Clients learn skills, strategies, insights, and ideas that they can use and practice in their daily life.

Is there between session work?

Yes, I assign practice work in order to maintain and increase gains made during each session.

What are your fees and do you take insurance?

Yes, I currently accept Oxford, Oscar and United Healthcare. My private pay fee is $150 per 45 minute session.

What are your therapeutic modalities?

I use Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Reality Therapy, and Transactional Analysis as my primary modalities. I supplement these practices with hypnotherapy, EMDR, NLP, and Biofeedback.

What is your professional training and experience?

I am NYS certified as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), a certified Choice Theory/Reality Therapy practitioner, and I trained, in part, with Albert Ellis in REBT. I learned EMDR with Francine Shapiro and Associates.

I have hands-on training in biofeedback and am a Master practitioner in NLP with additional training in hypnotherapy.

I had internships and experiential training in Transactional Analysis, Gestalt Therapy, Psychodrama, and Emotional Freedom technique (EFT).

What is your education?

I have my Masters in Social Work (MSW) from Adelphi University and my Masters (MS) in Mental Health Counseling from Long Island University.

Additionally, I have my Masters in Education from Mercy College and a law degree (JD) from Hofstra University.

I am a NYC Special Education Teacher. I have worked in the past as a lawyer, mediator, and forensic social worker.

Do you have any previous work experience?

I worked for the Legal Aid Society and was the Assistant Director of a Mental Health Clinic in Queens, NY.

I also was the compliance officer for an out-patient drug rehabilitation center.

Any volunteer work?

I volunteered for a crisis and suicide hotline as well as my local auxiliary police unit.

Did you write any books?
